Aid For Afghanistan

Organizations focused on delivering urgent aid to civilians in crisis.

Currently, every civilian living in Afghanistan has experienced chronic conflict, ceaseless fear, and political instability.

Following the withdrawal of American-led forces and a Taliban resurgence, Afghanistan’s crisis has taken a turn for the worst. As a result, hundreds of thousands have been displaced by turmoil and civilians across the country remain in fear and desperation.

The crisis in Afghanistan is especially concerning for young girls and women, who have made progress over the last two decades in education, employment, and human rights advocacy. According to the World Economic Forum, Afghanistan has the largest gender gap in economic participation and opportunity. Subsequently, the Taliban takeover raises concerns of human rights backsliding and the shrinking space of women in civil society, with the group known for imposing severe restrictions on women’s freedoms in areas of control.

Unfortunately, the future of Afghanistan remains uncertain as disorder disperses throughout the country. The bleak reality for civilians on the ground is simply unfathomable.

Below are a number of organizations focused on delivering urgent aid including emergency relief packages, housing, and other necessities to civilians in Afghanistan.
