Now more than ever, we’re in need of a digital detox and The North Face understands just that; with the brand taking active action to recognize Earth Day as an official holiday.
As part of the the Change.org petition, The North Face is taking action to promote connection and preservation of our planet. The outdoor brand’s push to unplug encourages people to take time to connect with the world around them, with the petition reading: “When people take time to appreciate Earth, they feel more connected to it and are more likely to protect it. That's why we are taking a stand and committing that on Earth Day we will explore and connect with our surroundings.”
Along with the petition, The North Face will be closing their global headquarters and over 100 stores on Earth Day as a way to provide their employees with the opportunity to disconnect and explore the outdoors. Moreover, the brand will be activating an ‘Explore Mode’ in major cities across the country to encourage organic inspiration, engagement, and creativity.
The North Face remains committed towards mindful business practices that encourage environmental awareness and sustainability. The brand’s petition recognizes the importance of providing people the most valuable asset to explore our beautiful planet — time.
