5 Ways To Ease Quarantine Fatigue
We’re all feeling it.
“Unprecedented.” A word we have heard over and over again since the start of the pandemic. And eight months later, we’re still living this reality. Quarantine fatigue is real and coupled with the angst of the unknown, there’s no doubt we’re all feeling on edge.
Since we don’t know how much longer we’ll be required to shelter in place, we’re sharing 5 ways to ease quarantine fatigue:
Take a digital detox
Reconsider how much time you spend on your phone, computer, and infront of the TV while at home. Though many of us need these for our jobs, digital devices can be both consuming and distracting so consciously take time away from the noise and explore other mindful outlets.
Move your body
Movement is a necessity so make sure to take time to sweat. Whether it’s an online workout class or a power walk, exercise is a natural way to improve energy levels and boost your mood.
Spend time outdoors
Nature is healing, encompassing mental, physical, and emotional health benefits. Enjoy the outdoors and learn to appreciate all that Mother Nature has to offer including the sun on your skin and the wind in your hair.
4. Channel creativity
Though some say being at home can stifle creativity, that’s not always the case. Spark creativity in your space in a number of ways including conventional methods of journaling, sketching, and reading to more unconventional methods like redecorating or organizing.
5. Focus on the immediate:
Focus on only the things you can control. With some much going on in the world right now, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. From the personal goals you set for yourself to the content you consume, focus on what you can positively do for yourself.
